The staff at each Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. is committed to providing answers to your questions clearly and understandably. Arrangements will be made to meet your individual wishes. An explanation of all available options will be provided. Price and payment methods will be explained during the arrangement conference. We are committed to and pride ourselves on the quality of our service and dedication to the communities we serve.

Funeral Purchase Payment Agreement

We realize that the expense of caring for the final needs of family members is often unexpected and since we are a family owned business providing services and merchandise, we are dependent upon our clients for prompt payment of charges incurred. Our payment options are

listed below.

1. Cash or check for the full amount of the contract is due at the time of service.
   
   
2. Credit Cards for the full amount of the contract plus a 3.5% credit card processing fee may be used for payment.
   
   
3. Pre-need contracts previously funded with insurance or a trust will be used to pay the funeral bill and the funeral home will process this for the family. In the event the contract has not been fully funded, the balance due for the service would be expected at the time partial payment is received from the pre-paid contract. An administrative charge of $30.00 per year for the trust being in service will be added at the time of the service.
   
   
4. Payment for funeral service may be made by an insurance policy only if confirmation of policy in force is received at time of arrangements. Then the policy must also be irrevocably assigned to the funeral home. There will also be an advance consideration fee of 3.5% of the funded amount with a minimum of $125.00.
   
   
5. If your account is not paid at time of service, interest at the rate of 24% will begin accruing. In the event your account becomes 30 days past due, referral will be made to an outside collection agency or attorney, and you will be responsible for the collection costs at the rate of 33% of the balance due, along with reasonable attorney fees and court costs incurred by this office.
   
   
6. Payment for services will not wait on estate settlement.

General Price List

These prices are effective as of December 15, 2025, but thereafter subject to change without notice.

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

It is the policy of Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. that no visitation, viewings, either public or private, funerals, or memorial services will be held on Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July Fourth, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day. Funeral services on Labor Day and New Year's Day must be scheduled no later than 11:00 a.m. On those days, additional fees will be incurred by vault companies, cemeteries, and the funeral home and will be applied to the total cost of your requested services.

Professional Services

Our fee for the basic services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family and responsible parties; arrangement of funeral; preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notices; and coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g., cemetery, crematory, vault companies and others as required. Also, included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facilities such as professional licensing, legal and accounting fees, insurance, building and utility expenses, maintenance, taxes, equipment, furnishings, inventory costs, record keeping, and secretarial and administrative expenses.

This fee for your basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)

Direct Cremation

The charge for a direct cremation includes removal of remains, transportation to the crematory, crematory fee, necessary authorizations, medical examiner fee, and basic services of the staff and a proportionate share of overhead. This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to or after the cremation. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composite materials (with or without an outside covering). The container we provide is of fiberboard or composite material.

DIRECT CREMATION: $3,245.00 to $3,245.00

Personalized Selections

Includes: Basic services of funeral director and staff, one hour of facilities use for viewing, facilities use and equipment for funeral service, embalming, other preparation of deceased, transfer of deceased to funeral home, use of ceremonial casket, hearse, utility vehicle, transfer of deceased to crematory, cremation fee, medical examiner fee, and necessary authorizations.

Includes: Basic services of funeral director and staff, facilities use and equipment for memorial service in our chapel or staff services at another facility, transfer of deceased to funeral home, utility vehicle, transfer of deceased to crematory, cremation fee, medical examiner fee, and necessary authorizations.

Includes: Basic services of funeral director and staff, embalming, one hour of facilities use for viewing, and equipment for memorial service in our chapel or staff services at another facility, transfer of deceased to funeral home, utility vehicle, transfer of deceased to crematory, cremation fee, medical examiner fee, and necessary authorizations.

Special Charges

FORWARDING OF REMAINS TO ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME $3,975.00

Our charge includes: basic services of a funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; removal of remains; embalming or other preparation of remains; and local transportation. This charge does not include visitation, rites, and ceremonies prior to forwarding of the body.



RECEIVING REMAINS FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME $3,265.00

Our charge includes: basic services of a funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; care of remains; local transportation of remains to the funeral home and to the cemetery or crematory; and staff for graveside service. This charge does not include visitation, chapel/church service or cash advances.



IMMEDIATE BURIAL $2,970.00 to $4,470.00

Our charge for immediate burial (without ceremony) includes: basic services of a funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; removal of remains; local transportation to the cemetery and necessary authorizations.

CHILDREN’S SERVICES

• Stillbirth to 1 year - Merchandise at cost plus cemetery charges
• 1 year to 5 years - Merchandise at cost plus cemetery charges plus funeral home basic service fee of $750.00
• 5 years to 8 years - Merchandise at cost plus cemetery charges plus funeral home basic service fee of $1,000.00
• 8 years to 12 years - Merchandise at cost plus cemetery charges plus funeral home basic service fee of $1,250.00



Preparation

Except in special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require that you pay for it, such as a direct cremation or immediate burial.

This special package selection of Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. includes professional services of funeral director and staff, transfer of deceased within our local service area to our funeral home, professional care and embalming, dressing and casketing, full use of facilities at the funeral home for two hours of visitation, viewing, rosary, or wake at our facility, coordination of the service to be held in either the church of family’s choice or the funeral home chapel, arranging and care of floral tributes, use of the utility vehicle, and use of the hearse.

Graveside Service

This special package selection of Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. includes professional services of funeral director and staff, transfer of deceased within our local service area to our funeral home, professional care and embalming, dressing and casketing, full use of facilities at the funeral home for two hours of visitation, viewing, rosary, or wake at our facility, coordination of the service to be held at the graveside, arranging and care of floral tributes, use of the utility vehicle, and use of the hearse.
