Wesley Thomas Creasey went home to be with his Lord on December 19, 2021 in Oklahoma City.  Wesley was born on February 17, 1939 to Daniel Creasey and Mary Moore Creasey in Richmond, Virginia.    He was the third child of five in his family.  At the age of 17, he joined the United States Army.   During his time in the Army he was stationed in Germany, then in Denton, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Louise Kay Talley.  On May 21, 1960 they were married.  To this union three children were born and they welcomed one foster son: Kim, Wesley Jr., Ron and Dean Vaughn.  He continued his career being stationed in Trainer, Iowa; Alaska; El Paso; Okinawa, Japan; Hawaii and finally retiring after twenty years as a Platoon Sergeant E7.  After retirement they moved back to Cherokee, later settling on a family farm around Byron.  He started working at Cherokee Public Schools in 1977.  He was the “jack of all trades” at the school.  He earned the name Chump and Papa.  He drove the Big Chief bus and always had it warmed up, especially during the girls’ state championship basketball game.  He retired in the late 90’s.  If he wasn’t at school, you could find him farming, drinking coffee with friends, or burning the highway driving.  He belonged to Cherokee First Baptist Church.

Those who preceded Wesley in death include his parents, Daniel and Mary Creasey; his sister, Joyce; brother, Daniel, and sister, Carol.
