Timothy Milton Scoggins was born in Alva on July 27, 1944, the son of Walter Albert Scoggins and Zelma Mae Biggs Scoggins, and passed from this life in Fairview on July 22, 2021.  Tim was raised in the Aline area and graduated from Aline High School in 1962.  On December 9, 1962, Tim and Evalyn Hawkins were married in the Cleo Springs Nazarene Church and they had lived near Cleo Springs since their marriage.

Tim was a busy, hard working man who taught his children good work ethics. He was a farmer who enjoyed driving the tractor and he farmed until he could no longer do the work. One other thing that he did with his time was raise cattle. Then came his work in the oil field.  He pumped wells for several years, worked for Union Texas Petroleum as a mechanic for nine years, worked for Bonray Drilling Company drilling oil wells and became an oil man who operated his own oil company.  He had also worked for Cornelson Motor Company for five years.

Tim was a family man who loved his grandchildren and great-grandson.  He never missed one of his childrens’ ball games and these games were a joy for him to attend.  He loved to sing, was an avid golfer, loved hunting and rebuilding cars.  He was a member of the First Christian Church in Cleo Springs.

Those who have preceded him in death are his parents, Walter and Zelma Scoggins; his brother, Carroll Scoggins; his sister, Janice McColl and brother-in-law, Neal McColl.

Those who survive are his wife, Evalyn Scoggins; his children, Natalie Fern Smith, Timothy Trent Scoggins, Brenton Lee Scoggins and wife, Jennifer, Tamra Beth Butler and husband, Chad and Veronica Elaine Stroud and husband, Ryan; grandchildren, Casey Capehart and wife, Kristy, Scarlett Wallace, Claire, Carlie, Seth and Luke Scoggins, Eli and Samantha Scoggins, Jake, Creed, and Abryenne Butler; one great-grandchild, Jackson Capehart; one brother, Kenny Scoggins and wife, June; two sisters-in-law, Wyvone Scoggins and Louise Beckwith; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
