Jimmy Ray McBride was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 1, 1928 to Christine Reichert Weiss and Jimmy L McBride and passed from this life on June 14, 2021 at his home north of Okeene.  Jim was raised by his uncle and aunt, Jake and Emma Penner, on their farm east of Loyal. Jimmy attended and graduated from Loyal High School.  He married Olinda Nusz on October 12, 1950 and to this union a son, Lonnie Martin McBride and a daughter, Cynthia Carleen McBride were born.

Jim farmed in the Loyal and Okeene area, and he also ran a custom harvesting crew for thirty-eight years.  Each year they started in Texas and worked their way as far north as Chester, Montana.  Jim, Olinda, and family moved for a short time to Wyoming, where he also took up farming.  When moving back to Okeene, Jim farmed until he and Olinda both retired and moved to their home north of Okeene.  Jim enjoyed working on and building race cars and tinkering with motorcycles.  He was so proud to get to drive his stock cars in the races at the Longdale, Oklahoma track. Jim was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Those who preceded Jim in death include his wife, Olinda and their children, Cynthia Carleen McBride and Lonnie Martin McBride; Jim’s mother, Christine Weiss; his father, Jimmy R. McBride; his aunt and uncle, Jake and Emma Penner; in laws, Carl and Eva Nusz; sister-in-law, Edna Schnell and her husband, Albert and their son, Wesley Schnell; brother-in-law, Raymond Nusz and wife, Viola and their son, J.R. Nusz; sister-in-law, Alice Irion and her husband, Harron Irion and their son, Tom; brother-in-law, Roy Nusz and his wife, Lillie; sister-in-law, Lena Osmus and her husband, Leonard.

Jim is survived by grandson, Karie Lane McBride; Summer Zink and Skyler Wissmon, Karie Lane McBride and Sara McBride’s children; great grandchildren, Jordon Brown, Keri and Kymbree McBride; brother-in-law, Jim Nusz and his wife, Twilla and their daughters, Sabrina Nusz Nault and Felicia Nusz Reasnor; nephew, Jerry Schnell and wife, Vivan and their son, Tom Schnell and their daughter, Kathy Morgan; nephew, Daryl Schnell and wife, Donna; niece Marilyn Nusz Walton and her husband, Roy and their son, Justin Walton; niece-in-law, Juanita Broomfield Nusz snd sons, Darin and David Nusz; nephews, Stan Nusz and wife, Kathy, Steve Nusz, Bobby Nusz and wife, Linda and their daughter, Libby Nusz; niece, Vicki Irion Westfahl and sons, Chad and Beau Westfahl; second cousin, Kandy Schnell, and great nephew, Mark Osmus.
