Jimmie Hoffman

February 16, 1932 — July 16, 2022

Hazleton, KS

On Saturday, July 16, 2022, Jim Hoffman left his failing, earthly body and went to be with Jesus. This world has lost a great son, brother, husband, father, and most of all - friend.

Jimmie D Hoffman was born in Anthony, Kansas, on February 16, 1932 to Lester and MargaretRose Hoffman, who later blessed him with four siblings:  Pat, Jon, Tony, and Trudy. For the most part, he was a lifelong resident of Hazleton. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Italy. Upon his return, he attended welding school in Wichita.  He came home to Hazleton, where he met the love of his life, Patricia Ann Hunsaker. They were married on September 27, 1958.

Jim was most definitely a “jack-of-all-trades” fellow. He built houses, raised brooder chickens, was a custodian for the school districts in both Hazelton and Hardtner. He also was a custom harvester, a professional welder, electrician, heating and air conditioning tech, appliance business owner, partner in an insulation business, a farmer, and a serious gardener. In his retirement years, he enjoyed cleaning seed wheat for many of his farmer friends, and put serious hours in his woodshop, building clocks, organics, and all kinds of amazing decorative things.

Jim is survived by his wife, Pat; son, Carey; sister, Pat; brothers, Jon and Tony, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lester; his mother, MargaretRose; sister, Trudy, and son, Michael. Jim was most certainly blessed with an amazing array of friends and family and was genuinely thankful for how richly blessed he was with the relationships he had with each and every one of them.
