Everett "Bun" Rowe

Everett “Bun” Vernon Rowe of Fairview passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, after a lengthy hospital stay. He was a long-time resident of Fairview.  Bun was born on his grandparents’ farm east of Aline on November 20, 1935, to Ethyl and Everett Rowe. Bun attended Ringwood High School where he played basketball and baseball. Bun married Hannah Wahl on December 2, 1953. They had six children: Bill, Gayla, David, Gary, Regina, and Kim. Bun worked many places throughout his life, among those were Mabar and Phillips Petroleum, where he retired after many years of service.

An avid horseman, Bun was a founding member of the Fairview Wranglers Roundup Club. He spent many hours working the arena and running the roping chute for the Wranglers’ Rodeo each July. He loved to help stock contractor Charlie Plummer with the rodeo stock. One of his favorite memories was driving his wagon and team of gray ponies in the rodeo parade with Reba McEntire at his side. He also enjoyed coyote hunting with his greyhounds and going to the sale barn.

Bun is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: son, Bill Rowe and wife, Pam of Plains, Texas; daughter, Gayla Koehn and husband, John of Aline; son, David Rowe and wife, Cindy of Sedgwick, Kansas; son, Gary Rowe and wife, Shari of Fairview; daughter, Kim Eason and husband, Mark of Cleveland. Bun will also be missed by twelve grandchildren and their families: Jennifer and Curtis Colby and children, Jack, Hannah, and Luke of Edmond; Tara and Geoffrey Long of Oklahoma City; Lyndi and Jared Morton of Panhandle, Texas; Lesli and John Marcee and son, Knox of Ovalo, Texas; Jamie and Kyle King and sons, Parker and Grayson of Thomas; Colby and Stacy Rowe and sons, Hunter and Kason of Fairview; Dustin Rowe of Chicago, Illinois; Cristyn and Wade Hansen and sons, Grant and Connor of Sedgwick, Kansas; Devin and Kyle Taylor and daughter, Collins of Mannford; Brad and Katie Eason of Hominy; Tyler Eason of Red River, New Mexico; Kayley and Maverick Thurber of Morrison.

Bun is preceded in death by wife, Hannah; daughter, Regina; sister, Alice Coppock, and his parents, Ethyl and Everett Rowe.

A memorial service for Bun will be held at Cedar Springs Nazarene Church Youth Facility on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Kris Ewbank officiating.  Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena.  www.lanmanmemorials.com  Facebook:  Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
