Brian Jantzen

March 28, 1978 — May 1, 2023

Ringwood

Brian Jantzen was born on March 28, 1978, to Earnie and Sharon (Peck) Jantzen and left this life on May 1, 2023.  Brian graduated from Ringwood Public Schools in 1997. He married his one true love, Sarah Hargis on October 20, 2001, in Ringwood where they made their home. Brian and Sarah were blessed with two daughters, Rylie and Kenslie.

Brian had a love of agriculture and the land that he instilled in his girls. Brian, along with his family, raised and produced cattle, swine, wheat, soybeans, milo, canola and hay as well as fruit and vegetables in the Ringwood and Drummond areas. Brian and his girls owned and operated Jantzen Show Pigs where they enjoyed raising, showing, and traveling together finding “the perfect one”. Brian, Sarah, and the girls spent most of their summer weekends at Kaw Lake where they enjoyed boating, hanging out on the beach, and spending time with their lake friends where he always made lemon drops for everyone. Brian worked at the Enid Livestock Market where you could find him in the ring bringing home the bargains of the day and spent 18 years as a baler mechanic for Livingston Machinery. You could find him at Ampride in the morning for “tea time”, catching up on the local farming news. Brian earned both his State and American FFA Degrees.

Brian was very involved in his community and served as Captain of the Ringwood Fire Department, President of Great Plains Coop Board, and was a Ringwood School Board member.

Those left to cherish Brian’s memory are his high school sweetheart, Sarah Jantzen of the home; his two daughters, Rylie and Kenslie of the home; father and mother, Earnie and Sharon Jantzen of Ringwood; sister, Amy Haffner and husband, Brandon of Ringwood; in-laws, Bob Hargis and Kirk and Annie Mason of Ringwood; brother-in-law, Greg Hargis and wife, Heather of Ringwood; sister-in-law, Julie Pirtle and husband, Jason of Leon, Kansas; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as many friends in the stock show and farming community.
