Albert Vogel

Albert Jay Vogel passed from this life on Monday, April 20, 2020 at 4:20 a.m. in Wichita, Kansas.

Albert is survived by his son, Landon Vogel and his step children, Michael Scott of Alva, Oklahoma and family, Louree Gordon of Jet, Oklahoma and family; four grandchildren, Audrey, Zachary, and Oliver Scott, and Elijah Gordon; his brother, Richard Vogel of Alva, Oklahoma and family; his sisters, Barbara Sneary of Harper, Kansas and her family, Mary Hill of Medicine Lodge, Kansas and her family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Jean Vogel and his life partner, Michelle White.

Albert was born in Hardtner, Kansas on October 13, 1959.  He graduated from South Barber High School and Alva Vo-Tech in 1978.  He was a lifelong Kiowa resident, farmed for many years, was a master mechanic and always had some kind of hot rod in his shop that he fixed up and painted.  He could often be found cruising on his motorcycle.  Albert was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone, and he was the best dad, Papa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend ever.  He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A private graveside service is scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery near Kiowa, Kansas with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa.
