Wanda Lee Campbell

Wanda Lee (Tucker) Campbell passed away October 7, 2026 in her home in Jet Oklahoma at 94 years of age . Wanda was born to Lillian and Clyde Tucker on April 14, 1932, the second of three daughters. She graduated from Cherokee High School in 1950 and went to Oklahoma A&M for her degree in teaching. Wanda married Donnie Campbell August 20, 1954. Wanda and Donnie were blessed with a daughter, Candace DeAnn on September 30, 1964. Candace was killed in a automobile accident December 20, 1980 which changed the families life forever.

Wanda and Donnie were both teachers as well as farmers in the area. Wanda was awarded a Masters of Education from NWOSU. She loved teaching and her students loved her. Wanda and Donnie were both supportive of NWOSU and Oklahoma State University.

Wanda and Donnie loved traveling. They went to Europe numerous times and especially loved Scotland. They also went on safari in Africa.

Wanda was a member of the United Methodist Church in Jet and served on many liturgical and social groups in the church. They were very involved in the community of Jet and in the schools in Jet and Nash. Wanda was a farmers wife and spent hours taking meals to the fields for Donnie and his crews. They farmed land that her grandmother staked claim to in the Oklahoma Land Run. The land is still in the family to this day.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie and her daughter, Candace' parents, Clyde and Lillian Tucker; sister, Olive Clydene and her husband, Dan Brune; sister, RuthAnn Perkins and her husband, Larry Perkin; mother and father-in-law, Irene and William Donald Campbell; sister-in-law, Myrtle Ellen Shaklee and husband Merwyn, Donna Marie and David Smith; brother-in-law, Dean Campbell, Larry Zander and Larry Claflin.

She is survived by her nephew, Scott Perkins' sister-in-law, Norma Lee and Eddie Zander; sister-in-law, Linda Lou Zander and Dixie Elaine Claflin and numerous nieces and nephews on the Campbell side of the family.

A true celebration of Wanda's life will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jet Community Church in Jet, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Jet.
