Virginia Munyon

February 28, 1932 — April 23, 2015

Goltry-Funeral service for Virginia Marie Munyon, 83, will be Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Community Bible Church in Goltry with Pastor Dale Cummins officiating. Burial will follow at Karoma Cemetery outside of Goltry. Viewing will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Virginia Marie Albright Munyon was born February 28, 1932 in Austin, Minnesota to Joseph and Alice Gilliland Albright. She went to be with her Lord and Savior April 23, 2015 at the age of 83 years and 54 days. She was joined in marriage to Hurley Marion Munyon on May 5, 1949. They made their home in Omaha, Nebraska and later in Council Bluffs, Iowa until moving to Goltry, Oklahoma in 1962. From this union five children were born: Bob, Ron, Ann, Alice and Dale. She made her home in Goltry, Oklahoma working as a stay at home mom, butcher, waitress and several other jobs. She was a member of the New Covenant Fellowship Church in Goltry. She taught Sunday School, assisted with Bible School and was very involved in her church and community. Due to poor health she moved and made her home at Seiling Nursing Center in February, 2015, where she was active in many activities she enjoyed. She touched many lives and hearts with her kindness and beautiful smile. She loved the Lord and shared His word with everyone she knew.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Hurley Munyon; her eldest son, Bobbie Gene Munyon; one sister, Kay Biddenstadt; her parents and numerous other relatives.

She is survived by her children, Ron Munyon and wife, Donna of Enid; Ann Munyon Helterbrake and husband, Jeff of Chester, Alice Munyon Fry and husband, Martin of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Dale Munyon of Oklahoma City; one brother, Jim Albright of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Mary Mae Palmer of Kentucky; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews and friends.

Memorials may be given to New Covenant Fellowship Church through the funeral home.
