Twilladean Ruth Cink

Twilladean Ruth (Milner) Cink entered heaven on July 29, 2026. She was born on January 14, 1933, on a farm between Bluff City, Kansas and Anthony, Kansas. She was the daughter of Charles and Paulene Milner who both passed away when she was young. As an eighth grader Twilladean was baptized at the Methodist Church in Bluff City. She graduated from Bluff City High School in 1951. After graduation she worked at Boeing for four years in the billing department.

Twilladean met the love of her life at Hanks store. George was standing behind the counter, and they started talking which led to dating then marriage on November 5, 1955 in the Methodist Church in Bluff City. They ran Hank’s store until George was hired by Boeing and they moved to Haysville, Kansas. While there they had three sons: David Cink, Dr. James Cink and Mike Cink.

In the summer they would come to Oklahoma to help Don and Donna with the wheat cutting and Twilladean would cook and watch the children. One time they brought their dog, Dutches and six puppies with them and the kids had so much fun playing with the puppies. Later they moved to Medford where all three boys graduated from high school. She was a dispatcher for twenty-nine years for Grant County Sheriffs Office.

Twilladean loved painting, sewing, reading and cooking. Her gardening skills were among the best. David provided his mom with an acre of land which she promptly planted fruit trees and had a garden. This was no small garden! She would plant fifty pounds of potatoes, two large rows of onions, four large rows of green beans and one row of yellow beans, fifty tomato plants, twenty pepper plants, yellow squash, zucchini, cantaloupe, watermelon and lettuce and of course she shared with everyone in town.

One of her favorite things was receiving blankets sewn by Jim’s wife, Cece. They were always the perfect color and had a special message sewn on it. Cece also made pillowcases in bright colors which made Twilladean feel good.

Twilladean always lit up when talking about her grandkids, Christopher and Catelyn. She especially loved listening to them play songs for her on their violins. Christopher joined the Army reserves and ended up stationed at Tinker Air Force Base. Whenever he visited her, she would always make sure to have a chocolate pie to send back with him. When Catelyn was in elementary school her and Twilladean made kolaches together.

Twilladean was also very proud of all three of her boys as they worked together to take care of their mother. Her dog, Little Bit, kept her company during the day.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, grandparents and sister or better known as, partner in crime, Darlene.

She is survived by her three sons, David Cink, Dr. James Cink and wife, Cece and Michael Cink; special daughter, Kathy Flaherty; two grandchildren, Christopher Cink and Catelyn Cink; niece, Dianna Martin; nephew, Larry Graves and wife, Donna as well as numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Bluff City, Kansas with a Celebration of Life service to follow at the Medford Methodist Church basement at 1:00 p.m. Viewing will be Monday, August 3, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Medford. www.lanmanfuneralhome.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
