Cherokee-Funeral service for Tom will be Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Lanman Chapel in Cherokee. There will no public viewing.
Tom was born on June 20, 1934 in Cherokee to Otis P. Bernard and Mary Elizabeth Hebel Bernard and passed from this life on January 18, 2016 in Enid. Tom received his bachelor's degree and also served in the U.S. Military during the Korean War. Tom was an electronics technician for FAA He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his daughter, Tomie Baughn of Pueblo, Colorado; one grandson, Matthew Baughn and wife, Brooke; four great grandchildren, Ethan, Kamryn, Damien and Maddox; one brother, Jack Bernard and numerous nieces and nephews.
Those who preceded Tom in death include his wife, Tanis; his parents, Otis and Mary Bernard; brother, James "Ace" Bernard and nephew, Gary L. Bernard.
