Timothy Schadler

Timothy Kenneth Schadler, beloved husband of Erin, was born in Visalia, Kentucky on May 21, 1957 to Elmer Kenneth Schadler and Marsha Bachmann Schadler.  He passed away at his residence in Ames on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

Tim graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1976. He had a wide variety of interests, and at one time had a model train layout that attracted many spectators. He loved music and had enjoyed playing drums in a band. He had a varied career. He worked for the city and state in Anderson, Indiana. When he moved to Oklahoma, he worked in the oil field.  He also worked on a ranch in Ames, Oklahoma, where he loved living the cowboy lifestyle. He was a cowboy at heart and was talented using a lasso. He enjoyed nature and loved to see a good thunderstorm. Tim was very patriotic, kind, generous, gracious, and a mentor to many. Tim had many friends because he knew how to be a good one himself.

Those who preceded Tim in death include his parents, Elmer Kenneth Schadler and Marsha Bachmann Schadler, and his brother, Rodney Elmer Schadler.

He is survived by his wife, Erin Schadler of Ames; his children, Thomas Matthew Schadler (Nicole) and Kenneth Wayne Schadler; the children’s mother, Mary Schadler; his grandchildren, Kylie and Lizzie Schadler and Devin and Sierra Miller; three great grandchildren; his sisters, Sherry Lynn McConnell of Anderson, Indiana, Lisa Joy Schadler of Huntsville, Alabama, Ruth Ferol Graves of Shelbyville, Indiana, and Suzanne Flatford of Martinsville, Indiana; many nephews and nieces.

Funeral service for Tim will be Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of the First Born in Homestead.  The officiating pastors, for whom Tim had much respect, are Ron Hayes and Jeremy Osmus.  Viewing will be at the church before the service.  Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Okeene.  www.lanmanmemorials.com  Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
