Shirley M. Skaggs was born August 2, 1926 to parents, Harvey Preston Crites and Ida Evelyn Maskes Crites near Hawley and passed from this life on July 7, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Braman. Those who have preceded her in death are her husband, Eugene; her parents, Harvey and Ida Evelyn Crites; two brothers, Leslie and Loyd Crites and a great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Pryce.

Those left to cherish Shirley’s memory are two children, Judy A. Neal and husband, Dale E. of Braman and Larry Skaggs and wife, Candy of Nash; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Darlene Kimzey and husband, Delvin of Elk City, Kansas.
