Shirley Burnett

Shirley was born July 13, 1939 at Hazelton to Frank VanVranken and Mamie Martin VanVranken.  She passed from this life on April 27, 2018 in Harper.  She went to school in Hazelton where she graduated.  On June 17, 1955 Shirley and Joe Burnett were married in the Baptist Church in Hazelton.  In 1966 they bought a farm in the Hazelton area.  She had various jobs throughout her lifetime and enjoyed children and animals.  She spent the last few years of her life in Attica Long Term Care Facility where she enjoyed her baby dolls.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Burnett; her parents, Frank and Mamie VanVranken; one daughter, Darla Burnett; three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Takita Stone and husband, Russell; a son, Vincent Burnett and wife, Jamie; grandchildren, Jason Lawson, Jacob Burnett and Sarah, Bailey Mitchell and husband, Joe and one sister-in-law.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home.
