Randy Flaming

April 20, 1961 — June 26, 2015

Randy Scott Flaming went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, June 26, 2015. He was 54 years of age. He was born in Fairview, Oklahoma on April 2, 1961. Randy married his wife, Teresa Dorrell, on October 30, 1982 and, they have three children, Matthew, Ashley and Bryce.

He is survived by his parents, Royce and Wilda Flaming of Cherokee, Oklahoma; his wife, Teresa and son, Bryce of the home in Cherokee Oklahoma; daughter, Ashley Blossom and husband, Aaren of Cherokee, Oklahoma; son, Matthew Flaming and wife, Kurstin of Belle Plaine, Kansas; grandsons, Casen Blossom and Jackson Flaming; his sister, Brenda Salinas and husband, Peppy of Cherokee, Oklahoma; sister, Barbara Flaming of Cherokee, Oklahoma; brother, Michael Flaming of High Ridge, Missouri and a score of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Randy graduated from Cherokee High School in 1979. He participated in Speech and Debate and won several State Competitions. Early in Randy's career, he worked at United Supermarket and had advanced to Co-Assistant Manager position before he left to work with his father, Royce, in several business adventures. During that time Randy participated on several committees and was on the Kansas Oil Marketers Board of Directors, as well as CEO/Assistant Chairman and a member on the Board of Directors of ACB Bank. Randy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cherokee, Oklahoma.

During his lifetime he also owned and operated several business entities with his wife, Teresa. Randy enjoyed going on adventures with his family and friends, both in groups and solo trips to the boundary waters area in Canada. He enjoyed skiing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, camping, hiking, and hunting. Randy was also a certified diver and took many diving trips both at home and abroad. He also enjoyed wood carving and could build or do anything he set his mind too. Randy was his wife's best friend and the wind beneath his family's wings. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
