Pauline Mitchell

Z. Pauline Taylor Mitchell was born October 10, 1920, in Drumright, OK. She went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, in Wichita, KS. She married Arlan E. Mitchell on October 30, 1942, and they remained married for 57 years. Pauline and Arlan made their home in Stafford, KS, where they raised their three children, and in Cherokee, OK, where they retired in 1985.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Arlan, her parents, her brothers and sister.

She is survived by her two sons and a daughter: Allan E. Mitchell and wife, Neva, of McAlester, OK; Stephen D. Mitchell and wife, Pamela, of Wichita, KS; Karen K. Davis and husband, Gordon, of OKC. Surviving grandchildren include Brian and Alicia Mitchell, Cherokee; Stephanie and Quentin Pittman, Wichita; Amy Harrison, McAlester; Kari and Eric Hughes, Columbia, MO; Kelli and Ryan Williams, OKC; Kevin and Lori Davis, OKC; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Cherokee, OK, on Saturday, June 11, at 2pm. The viewing will be on Friday, June 10, from 10am to 7pm, with a family viewing from 5pm to 7pm at Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. Cherokee, OK.
