Pamela (Pam) Jean Decker passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, surrounded by memories of a full and meaningful life and entered eternal peace with her Lord and Savior.
Pam was born on January 14, 1947, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Oren and Helen Smith (Wellons). She grew up alongside her two brothers, Eddie and Ronnie, who helped shape her into the strong woman she became.
A lifelong lover of animals, Pam often referred to herself as the “Dog Whisperer.” Her connection with creatures started early; as a child, she even had a pet raccoon named Petey.
During her high school years, Pam loved to roller skate. It was after going on a blind date that she found the love of her life, Roger. They were married on September 18, 1964 and to this union, two sons were born, Mark and Danny. Pam was the ultimate wife, mother and homemaker and a gifted cook where anyone was welcome at her table. She was a strong woman and someone who was always willing to help anyone in need. Many in the community will remember the sight of her riding her bicycle around town, serving as a custodian for Ringwood Public Schools and a true servant to those around her.
Pam is survived by her husband, Roger; son, Mark (Lisa), son, Danny (Trish) and those who affectionately called her “Mema," grandchildren, Ashlynn, Chelbi (AJ), Blake, Gavin, Lindsey (Austin) and Loren; great-grandchildren, Hazel, Hayes, Harvy, Sutton, Kingston, and River.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, a nephew, a sister-in-law, and two brothers-in-law.
Funeral service to honor Pam will be held April 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith Center Fellowship in Meno with burial at New Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery in Meno.
