Goltry

Michael Eugene Foster, 67, passed away on May 30, 2026.

Mike was born on April 24, 1959, in Orlando, Florida. He graduated from Ada High School in 1977 and later attended East Central University, graduating in 1983, where he also played tennis. Mike built a successful career as a sales representative, serving in the profession for 34 years.

In 1987, Mike married the love of his life, Melanie, in Ringwood, Oklahoma. Together they shared nearly 39 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. They made their home first in Enid, Oklahoma, and then in Goltry, Oklahoma, where Mike lived for 32 years and became a respected and active member of the community.

A devoted Christian, Mike was a longtime member of Faith Center Fellowship in Meno, Oklahoma. He faithfully served as an Elder and volunteered in many areas of ministry throughout the years, including serving in Children’s Ministry, as a greeter, in Prophetic Ministry, and on the Intercessory Prayer Team.

Mike had a servant’s heart and a passion for investing in others. He volunteered to coach multiple sports for his children, spent many years as a football referee, served on the Timberlake School Board for 15 years, and coached football and baseball while teaching at Ringwood Schools for three years. Later in life, he continued his commitment to young people as a substitute teacher for Ringwood and Timberlake Schools.

Among Mike’s greatest joys were sharing adventures with Melanie, spending time with his family, golfing with his son Matt, son-in-law John, and friends, and enjoying time outdoors hunting. He was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and Oklahoma Sooners and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. He also loved playing with his grandchildren and watching them compete in sports and activities. He especially treasured family gatherings and the opportunity to be surrounded by those he loved.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Donald Eugene Foster; his maternal grandparents, John and Cecelia Lauer; and his paternal grandparents, Teal and Anna Jane Foster.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Foster; his mother, Joyce Foster; his brother, Shane Foster and wife, Angie and their family; his sister, Kristy Penrod and husband, Luke and their family; his son, Matt Foster and wife, Brie; his daughter, Megan Conaway and husband, John; his beloved grandchildren, Easton, Callan, Eli, and Emma; and the joyful anticipation of welcoming another grandchild in the coming weeks.

His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the students he encouraged, the athletes he coached, the church he faithfully served, and the countless lives he touched through his example of faith and service.
