Lynn D. Stauffer II, who worked as an engineering technician for an avionics manufacturing company, after serving in the U.S. Navy, died October 17, 2025 at 40 years old.

Lynn graduated from Pryor High School, Oklahoma, in 2004, where he was active in band and scouting. He enjoyed playing little league baseball and earned his Eagle Scout Honor at the First United Methodist Church in Pryor with Troop 83. Throughout his life Lynn enjoyed fishing, water and snow skiing, camping and back-packing on his vacations.

In 2006 Lynn enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he achieved the rank of Petty Officer and served as an electronics technician in Qatar during operation IRAQI and Enduring Freedom. The commanding officer commended Lynn for his exceptional professionalism, initiative and selfless devotion to duty which reflected credit upon himself and the Navy. After an honorable discharge, he married his long-time best friend Hannah Montgomery and they moved to Palm Bay, Florida. Lynn was happy living and working in Florida and working in his garden with help from his pets. Lynn enjoyed fishing on the beach, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and living in Florida.

Lynn dearly loved all his family members. He was a very special person and good friend to be with and to know.

Survivors include, father, Eddie Stauffer; mother, Angie Stauffer; grandmother, Mary Stauffer; grandfather, Lynn Stauffer; very special aunt, Virginia Stauffer and husband, Charlie; very special aunt, Vicky Frank and husband, David; cousins, Max Stauffer, Nathan and Wilson Frank, and many friends and relatives. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Don Montgomery and niece, Jalynne Garcia-Simpkins. He is preceded by his wife Hannah, who passed in 2022 and mother-in-law, Wanona.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Cherokee. www.lanmanfuneralhome.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
