Lota Dee “Punky” Lagan, loving wife, mother and friend, found her peaceful reward on February 24, 2026. Dee was a devoted homemaker and tireless champion of our youth. Some of Dee’s passions and things that she was most proud of was her involvement with the Okeene United Methodist Youth and service to people in general.
Dee is preceded in death by her parents Eugene Jonathan and Jesse Ardis Bouher of Garber, her brother Elmer Jonathan “Butch” Bouher of Wagoner, Grandson Ryan Phillip Meier, of Garber, “Adopted” Sons Lonnie Lee Smith of Okeene, Oklahoma and Gale Garringer of Livermore, Colorado.
Survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Dr H. Duane Lagan, Sister Hila Gene “Hidy” Eby of Garber, Children Duana Dee Shepherd of Blacksburg, Virginia, Lynn and Brian Saari of Blacksburg, Virginia, Tim and Sandi Lagan of Homestead, Oklahoma, and Lee Andrew Lagan of Okeene, Oklahoma as well as fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday March 3, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Okeene United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Roselawn cemetery. All are welcome, Mrs. Dee would have it no other way.
Visitation with family will be Monday March 2, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Okeene.
