Lenora Esther (Wilson) Johnson was born January 18, 1930 in Nashville, Kansas, the middle daughter of Antoine and Matilda Dick. She passed from this life on February 26, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 94.
On October 18, 1949 she married Robert “Bruce” Wilson and they were married for 33 years with Bruce passing at the age of 56 on November 27, 1982. She later married Walter Johnson and Marvin McAlister and both preceded her in death. She was preceded in death also by her parents and two sisters, Louise Zeller and Kathryn Hensick.
Lenora worked at the Wakita Co-op after she graduated St. Leo, Kansas High School. She then worked at the Pioneer Telephone Cooperative most of her adult life in Wakita. When Bruce sold his company, W.E. Adams, in the late 1970’s, they retired to Texas, California and West Yellowstone, Montana.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Koesler of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her two children, Allison and Toni; her oldest son, Mark Wilson of Gallup, New Mexico; her youngest son, Bob Wilson (Sharon) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and their two children, Cassandra and Reece, and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be at St. Anne Catholic Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
