Junior Kirk

Junior was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 2, 2002 and left this earth on January 24, 2018.

Junior had moved to Oklahoma with his family and began attending school in Cherokee when he was in the fourth grade. He had a strong competitive spirit and was well liked by his peers and teachers. Junior loved music, his family, his dog, Daisy, his friends, his teammates, his coaches and the Community of Cherokee.

Junior was preceded in death by his grandmother, Susan Wirt.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Johana and Donnie Kirk of Lahoma; grandparents, Papa Jeff Wirt, Oletta Kirk, Bob and Rhonda Kirk; brother, Clayton Rutherford and wife, Monica of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sister, Farrah Rutherford of Alva, Oklahoma; brother, Jacob and sister, Serenity of the home; three nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, plus a myriad of friends.

Celebration service for Junior will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Cherokee High School Auditorium with interment following at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery. Family visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
