Jim Massingill

The Celebration of Life Service for Jim Massingill, 72, will be Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church in Okeene.
Jim was born to Robert and Saleta Massingill on March 22nd, 1944 in Dallas, Texas and went to his Heavenly Home on August 19th, 2016. Jim grew up and attended school in Dallas. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy, June of 1964 and was honorably discharged March 27th, 1968. Jim then attended Cal State Long Beach where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He married his wife, Carolyn Dobrinski in June of 1983.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; children, Sheri (Frank) Jung, Kathy (Craig) Hevly, Dan (Julie) Massingill, Laurie Massingill, Dr. Wesley Pope, Cara (Mike) Starkweather, Paul (Sue) Massingill, Mike Massingill, Brenda Pope, Angela (Manny) Pacheco and Melissa (Todd) Woolley; thirty grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; his sisters, Kathy Hart and Roselynn Rupe
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Massingill; two sisters, Naomi Faye and Fredda Childers.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Zion Baptist Church, where he was an active member
