Jeffrey (Jeff) Malvin Greb, son of the late Milton Malvin and Helen June (Reisig) Greb was born August 18, 1950, in Okeene, Oklahoma and passed away October 31, 2023, peacefully at home after a season of declining health.
Jeff spent his childhood in several Oklahoma communities, attending Southard, Douglas, and Garber schools, participating in FFA and graduating with the Garber Class of 1968. Jeff’s pride and joy during this time was his 1968 Camaro and there are many stories to tell about time spent with friends at Shorty’s garage and racing. Shortly after highschool, he met Yvonne Buller and they married April 2, 1971. After a short stop in Enid, they made Goltry their forever home and were blessed with two children, Ryan and Amy.
Jeff loved to hunt and be outside and worked on the farm most of his life. He could fix just about anything with baling wire and a little concrete, okay, a lot of concrete. He also worked for the Alfalfa County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy and for the Crabtree Correctional Center, from which he retired. Upon retirement, he worked in maintenance for Timberlake Public Schools. He loved his community and his neighbors, spending many years as a City of Goltry Trustee, and serving 20 years on the Goltry Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a faithful member of Zoar Church for more than 40 years, serving as a trustee and an usher.
However, Jeff’s greatest life accomplishment was his family and friends. He was a loyal and ornery son and friend, a protective and ornery brother, a loving and ornery husband, and a proud and ornery Dad and Grandpa. Each time he and his siblings were all together, the bond was strong and it was always a good time. When it came to Yvonne, he had a softer side and she always knew how much he loved her. But nothing made him happier than spending time with and showing off his grandkids, and their parents. He could pester and tease better than most and even when the days got hard, that never changed, somehow he could still manage to put something in your shoe. Heaven might not be ready for the pranks he and his brother will now be pulling.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene; and granddaughter, Avery Clutter.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 52 years, Yvonne, of the home; his son, Ryan ( Monica ) Greb, of Meno; his daughter, Amy (Brett) Clutter, of Benton, Louisiana; grandchildren, Tanner and Tori Greb, and Chase and Drew Clutter; sisters, Judy Marek of Wichita, Kansas, Ginger ( Tony) Pitman of Waukomis, and Vicki (Wally) Cumpston, of Wichita, Kansas; sister-in-law, Lynni Greb of Dacoma; brothers-in-law Bob (Cindy) Buller of Goltry and Jon (Charolette) Buller of Ringwood; along with many loved nephews, nieces, cousins, and an uncle and aunt.
The family would like to extend special thanks to those who helped Jeff through this difficult season of his life, most recently his caretaker Stephanie Voss, and Complete OK Hospice Care.
