Janis Kaye Reida

Janis Reida, 79, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Janis was born in Hardtner, KS on January 31, 1947 to Charley and Lois Brattin. She graduated from Kiowa High School and then went on to graduate from Wichita State University with a degree in accounting. Janis worked many years as a CPA.

Janis had a passion for dancing, tending to her flowers and yard, and sewing. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.

Janis was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Lois Brattin and niece, Joy Combrink. 

She is survived by her son, Chad (Shelly) Reida; three grandchildren, Tad (Allison) Reida, Tiffany (Clay) Mothershead, and Matt (Melanie) Reida; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Jeanne Ann (Dennis) Combrink and her brother, Craig (Jeanette) Brattin and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Janis will be held Monday, August 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Kiowa, Kansas. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
