Aline- Funeral for Harry "Rob" Ward will be Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Aline High School Gymnasium with Pastor Polly Young officiating. Burial will be at Aline Star Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Viewing will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with the family present from 1:00 until 4:00.

Rob was born to Clarence "Pete" Ward and Etta Mae Sacket December 22, 1958 in Torrance, California and passed from this life January 20, 2013 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid. He Lived in California until the age of seventeen and moved to Oklahoma with his dad and step-mother, Phyllis Ward. When Rob married Doreen Grubb in August 2009, he became a father to Devon Grubb, Travis Grubb and Cristine Kay, whom he dearly loved. Rob was a member of the Aline Fire Department and First Responders. He served as the mayor of Aline for a period of time. He worked at Fairview Auto Salvage for thirty years. There is a saying, "The best portion of a man's life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love." This describes the kind of man Rob was. He loved his family and friends immensely. He enjoyed motorcycle rides, camping, boating and traveling.

Rob is survived by his wife, Doreen Ward of Aline; his step children, Devon Grubb, Travis Grubb and Cristine Kay; sister, Darlene Yingling and husband, Cal of California; brother, Charles Ward and wife, Christie of California; step-sister, Robin Smith of Aline; step-brothers, Randy Barnes and wife, Cathy of Wisconsin, Roger Barnes and wife, Roxanne of Illinois, Rick Barnes and wife, Bonnie of Carmen, John Gressley of Mississippi; fourteen nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and a large family of cousins.

Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Phyllis Ward and Ray and Etta Mae Gressley; sister in law, Judy Gressley.

Memorials may be given to the funeral home on behalf of the family.
