Hannah Esther Wahl Rowe, a longtime resident of Fairview, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Fairview.
She was born in Okeene, Oklahoma on March 17, 1935 to Lilly Belle and William Wahl and grew up on the family farm outside of Okeene. She graduated from Okeene High School and attended business college in Wichita, Kansas.
Hannah married E.V. “Bun” Rowe on December 2, 1953. They had six children: Bill, Gayla, David, Gary, Regina and Kim.
Hannah worked as a bookkeeper and purchasing agent for a number of businesses in Fairview over the years including the ASCS office, Cornelson Farm Equipment, Waldon and Major County District 2.
After retirement Hannah spent many hours lovingly repairing and making authentic reproductions of antique dolls. She won numerous awards for her craftsmanship and was very proud of her ribbons and dolls. She enjoyed traveling to doll conventions and workshops with her doll making group. After many years of study, Hannah earned recognition as a Master in Antique Doll Making.
Hannah is survived by her husband, Bun of the home; brother, Frank Wahl and wife, Donna of Caney, Kansas; sister, Pearl Wahl of Idaho; son, Bill Rowe and wife, Pam of Plains, Texas; daughter, Gayla Koehn and husband, John of Aline; son, David Rowe and wife, Cindy of Newton, Kansas; son, Gary Rowe and wife, Shari of Fairview and daughter, Kim Eason and husband, Mark of Cleveland. She will be missed by twelve grandchildren and their families, Jennifer and Curtis Colby of Edmond, Tara and Geoffrey Long of Oklahoma City, Lyndi Rowe and fiancé, Jared Morton of Fort Worth, Texas, Lesli Rowe of Grand Prairie, Texas, Jamie and Kyle King of Thomas, Colby and Stacy Rowe of Fairview, Dustin Rowe of Miami, Florida, Cristyn and Wade Hansen of Valley Center, Kansas, Devin and Kyle Taylor of Sand Springs, Brad and Katie Eason of Adin, California, Tyler Eason of Aurora, Colorado and Kayley and Maverick Thurber of Oklahoma City. Hannah is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Jack, Hannah, Luke, Parker, Grayson, Collins and Hunter.
Those who preceded Hannah in death include a daughter, Regina; her parents; two brothers, Marvin and George and one sister, Elma.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene west of Fairview officiated by Kris Ewbank. Services are under the direction of Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
