Glen Dale Sacket, who celebrated his 90th birthday in February, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, surrounded by memories of a long and meaningful life.
Glen was born February 3, 1936, on the family farm in Woods County, Aline, Oklahoma to James and Dollie Sacket (Kinney). He grew up on the family farm with his older sisters, Ula and Rosalie and his younger brother, Larry. He worked hard with his family and enjoyed regular visits from aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. He and his family attended the First Christian Church in Aline where he accepted Jesus as a young child.
During High School, Glen enjoyed playing tennis and basketball. He was also a member of the Oklahoma High School Honor Society. Following graduation from Aline High School in 1954, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in Germany with the 24th Engineer Battalion. After his service in the Army, he lived in Wichita, Kansas for a short time working at Boeing and Cudahy Meat Packing Company.
Glen returned to Aline and purchased the family farm where he worked hard farming the land and raising cattle. He also had a custom cutting business for many years.
In 1968, Glen married Olivia Whetstone and to this union was born a daughter, Tracy and a son, Roger.
In 1992, Glen married Norma Lee Pierce.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Farrand (Mike); son, Roger Sacket (Detra); grandchildren, Austin Farrand (Lauren); Mikala Farrand (Edgar); Chezni Watkins (Logan); Kyson Sacket (Lakin); Kouper Sacket (Annie); Klaycie Rauch; Kayleigh Rauch; Josh Rauch; Peyton Rauch; Lakyn Rauch; Charlie Rauch; great-grandchildren, Bristol Farrand; Walker Farrand; Landon Hernandez; Liam Watkins; Koulter Sacket; Stetson Sacket; brother, Larry Sacket and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents, sisters and wife, Norma.
Glen will be remembered for being a hard worker, willing to help anyone, watching his westerns, being stubborn and prideful but also caring, gentle and stern but mostly for his laugh.
A special thank you to the Fairview Fellowship Home and Valir Hospice.
