Prayer service for Gary Leon Laubach is 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Okeene followed by graveside service at Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday, February 2, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with family present 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Gary was born on July 19, 1947 in Okeene to Ervin Laubach and Edvina Greb Laubach, the youngest of four children. He graduated in 1965 from Okeene High School. He was a lifetime resident of the Okeene community. On August 16, 1968 he married Margie Boeckman, and they had four children. He was active in the community as a farmer, mail carrier, volunteer fireman, carpenter and fireworks expert. He was an active fan of his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Gary was an avid collector of coins, tools and antiques. He loved being around friends and visiting at the coffee shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Edvina Laubach; two brothers, Arnold and Jay Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Margie of Okeene; four children, Randy of Okeene, Trent and wife, Amy and two sons, Jake and Trey of Norman, Oklahoma, Dana and husband, Jason and daughter, Harper of Duncan, Oklahoma, Jack of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Nada Hokit of Enid, Oklahoma; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
