Flossie Domnick

March 25, 1925 — May 14, 2026

Bella Vista, Arkansas

Flossie Domnick, 101, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 25, 1925, to Marion Maxwell and Lillie Belle Murray in Avard, Oklahoma, where she was raised and graduated from Avard High School.

During World War II, Flossie moved to Kiowa, Kansas, to work at the Kiowa Aircraft Manufacturing plant, serving as a riveter on the A-26 Invader. After the war, she put down roots in Kiowa, where she raised four children: Jack, Terry, Tony, and Jo Ann. She worked at Parker's Grocery Store and became a familiar face to nearly everyone in town. She was a hard worker who kept herself busy not because she had to, but because that was simply her nature.

She married Floyd Domnick on September 12, 1972, and together they worked the harvest and traveled the United States and beyond. After Floyd's passing, she went to work at the Corner Drug Store and later at the Kiowa Manor and kept herself busy and involved the way she always had. After 62 years in Kiowa, a health scare brought her to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 2015, where family made sure she had a home of her own. She lived there on her own terms until she was nearly 101 years old.

Flossie loved to dance, loved to shop, and was patriotic to her core. She was excited to see you when you walked in the door, and she had a way of making every visit feel like the one she had been waiting for. She met every decade of her 101 years with the same determination that carried her through all the rest.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Maxwell and Lillie Belle Murray; her husbands, Forrest Simpson and Floyd Domnick; her son, Jack Simpson; her sisters, Opal Unruh, Loretta Murray, Margaret Haltom, and Fern Ryel and her brother, Arnold Sims.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Simpson (Jan) and Tony Simpson; her daughter, Jo Wyckoff (Steve); her sister, Shirley Haltom; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 11:00 am at Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa www.lanmanfuneralhome.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home
