Eddie Falkenberg

June 5, 1941 — May 8, 2017

Eddie L. Falkenberg, 75, of Medford, Oklahoma passed away on May 18, 2017. He was born in Caldwell, Kansas on June 5, 1941 to William and Alice (Guest) Falkenberg. Later the family moved to Silverdale, Kansas, where he grew up and attended Ark City High School. He then joined USAF, where he received a medical discharge.

After moving to Medford, he married Carol M. (Tate) Nibarger on June 7, 1984. He worked at the Community Health Center in Wakita, Oklahoma as a custodian, until he retired due to health problems.

Between Ed and Carol, they have eight surviving children, George Falkenberg, Dianna Curl and husband, Nathan Leatherman, Scott Falkenberg, Roxie Nibarger, Howard Nibarger, Angela (Nibarger) Scott and husband, Brian, Eric Nibarger and wife, Angela, Katie (Nibarger) Barrows and husband, Frank.

Surviving Ed are sisters, Margie Jackson and husband, J.D., Regina Scacco and husband, Sal and one surviving brother, Virgil Falkenberg and wife, Barbara. He also has numerous surviving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Falkenberg; parents, William and Alice Falkenberg; brother, Bill Falkenberg and sister, Doris Jones.

Ed was loved greatly and will be missed by his family and friends.

His memorial service will be held on June 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Medford First Baptist Church. Inurnment will be in Rosemound Cemetery, Medford.
