Donald Blubaugh

Donald “Shorty” Blubaugh was born November 9, 1930 rural Medford to parents, Henry Blubaugh and Mary Hein Blubaugh and passed from this life on November 27, 2020 in Oklahoma City. He was a lifelong resident of Medford and graduated high school there. He and LaVon Frisk were married and they had two children: Jay and Lori. Don was a farmer and served on Clyde Coop Board. He was involved with the Jaycees and was on the Medford School Board for a number of years. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren’s sports. Don was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and sang for church functions.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Blubaugh; his wife, LaVon Blubaugh; his daughter, Lori and her husband, Don Bowman; siblings, Bill and Bob Blubaugh, Rosalie and husband, Carl Conrady; several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his son, Jay Blubaugh and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Samantha and Kaleb Lemieux and daughter, Madelyn, Shelby, Chloe and Claire Blubaugh, Heather and Aaron Gottsch and children, Raegan and Eden, Tanner and Baylee Bowman and son, Grayson; sister-in-law, Peggy Blubaugh; many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside service for Don will be Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Clyde (St. Anthony) Cemetery west of Medford. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Medford. Heifers International is a nonprofit organization that assists families with seeds, chickens, cows, etc. and memorials may be made to this organization in Don’s memory through the funeral home.
