DeVeda "DeDe" Ruth McWilliams

DeVeda (DeDe) Ruth McWilliams, 92, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on December 6, 2025.

DeVeda was born in Burlington, Oklahoma on September 14, 1933, to Josephine Sutton and Arthur Martin. She grew up in Driftwood and graduated from Driftwood High School. She married Charles McWilliams on November 12, 1954. She had worked as a nurse for over 60 years and retired from the Kiowa Clinic in Kiowa, Kansas. She loved to square dance, play bridge and quilt. She attended Pleasant Valley Christian Church in Amarillo. DeDe was known for being a feisty little thing, and everyone who knew her knows that! We all loved that about her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles McWilliams; and son-in-law, Pug Myers.

She is survived by her son Greg McWilliams and wife Thomasine of Shidler, Oklahoma; Daughters, Kim Myers, Debbie Allen & husband Howard both of Amarillo; grandchildren, Alana Webb, Megan Nicholson, Daya Myers, DeDra Sims; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Madisyn, Cillian, David, Carter, and Emma.
