Darrell Glenn Hunt

Darrell Glenn Hunt, passed away on April 8, 2024, in Kiowa, Kansas. He was born January 27, 1954, in Hardtner, Kansas, Darrell was a beloved member of his community whose presence will be deeply missed.

Throughout his life, Darrell found joy and comfort in simple pleasures. He had a special bond with his loyal companion, Lucky, his cherished dog, who brought him immense happiness. Darrell spent many days working at the Plum Thickett as a dishwasher, where he not only found fulfillment in his job but also treasured the daily interactions with his friends. The gatherings at the Plum Thickett for meals were moments that Darrell held dear to his heart.

One of Darrell's passions was driving around Kiowa on his golf cart, reveling in the freedom and peace it provided him. In quieter times, he found solace in watching western movies and never missed an episode of his favorite TV show, Gunsmoke.

Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Clark "Bud" Hunt; step-mother, Corlena Hunt; grandfather, Clark E. Hunt Sr.; grandmother, Maggie Hunt, and aunt, Virginia Dixon.

His memory will be carried on by his surviving family including, cousins, Jerry Lee Dixon, Joy Little, and J.J. McNeal.

A graveside service to honor and remember Darrell Glenn Hunt will be held on April 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a time of viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Riverview Cemetery in Kiowa, Kansas to reminisce about the life well-lived by a man who touched the hearts of many.
