Funeral service for Cynthia Ann (Bode) White of Guthrie, Oklahoma, will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Okeene, Oklahoma, with burial of ashes to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Cindy was born February 1, 1950 at Okeene, the first of four daughters to Edward J. and Peggy Ann McFadden Bode. She departed from this life on October 31, 2022 in Edmond.
Cindy was raised in Okeene and attended St. Mary Catholic School for eight years, and Okeene Public School for four years, graduating in May, 1968. She then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford for one year.
In August, 1969 she wed Terry J. White of Okeene at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Okeene. They moved to Cherokee, and she continued her college education at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, earning a degree in accounting. During those years at Northwestern, she worked at Alva State Bank. They then moved to Ponca City, where she worked for Continental Oil Company.
In 1976 they moved to Guthrie, where she was employed at First Capital Bank, Oklahoma Furniture Factory, and the Guthrie Hospital. She earned her Certified Public Accountant designation and spent the majority of her career with Integris Hospitals with positions in Perry, Blackwell, Southwest Integris Medical Center, and Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. The highlight of her career was overseeing the building of Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, where she held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Vice President until her retirement in February 2016.
Cindy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Guthrie. She thoroughly enjoyed, and never missed, any and all activities in which her grandchildren were involved. She was so excited for the arrival of her youngest grandson last spring.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Peggy.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Terry J. White of Guthrie; daughters, Courtney Warmington and husband, Chad of Edmond, and Tiffany Wythe, and husband, Darin of Yukon; four grandchildren, Luke Warmington, AnnaMay Warmington, and Cooper Warmington of Edmond, and Theodore Wythe of Yukon; three sisters, Susan Bode of Guthrie, Jayne Hill and husband, Tim of Guthrie, and Melinda Colson of Oklahoma City, and a number of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to St. Anthony of Padua Parish Hall Fund in Okeene or the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to The Veraden Senior Living in Edmond, Traditions Health, and all the kindhearted staff who cared for Cindy.
