Curtis Bramlett

June 25, 1974 — September 28, 2025

Medford, OK

Curtis Reed Bramlett passed away peacefully in his Medford, OK home on September 28, 2025. A beloved son, brother, father, friend, chef, and avid food & movie critic, he touched the lives of many with his larger than life personality. The only thing larger than his witty personality was his huge heart.

Curtis was born in Enid on June 25, 1974, to Reed and Linda Bramlett. He was the eldest of three siblings. He was a Medford High School graduate and went on to obtain his bachelor’s in science from Oklahoma State University where he was a member of the Epsilon chapter of Sigma Nu fraternity. Upon graduation from OSU he went on to study at the French Culinary Institute in New York City working under renowned chef, Jaque Pepin for three years. He then worked for Parducci Vineyards for two years in New York City. Curtis worked in the food industry as both a sous chef and executive chef in several locations across the country including Florida and California before returning to Oklahoma where he owned and operated Le Cep Bistro in Edmond and Bolero in Bricktown OKC. In 2023, Curtis opened Cherokee Street Grill in Medford which he operated until his untimely death.

Curtis passionately loved his two boys and couldn’t be more proud of the young men they have become. He found joy being with his sons while taking in the simple pleasures of life and creating lifelong bonds. He loved all holidays, especially Christmas, and always helped prepare holiday meals with the family. He expressed that he loved delivering lunchtime meals to elders in our community that he had known since childhood. In recent years he had been a huge help to his family by assisting his parents with medical appointments and errands. Curtis also had a tender spot in his heart for rescue dogs and especially abandoned stray cats; never meeting a cat he didn’t like. If he wasn’t helping someone in need you could be sure he was nursing a cat back to health by extending his culinary arts to his furry friends.

Curtis is survived by his sons, Reed and Hudson Bramlett, his mother, and father, Linda and Reed Bramlett, his sister, Ashley, brother-in-law Nathan Ebert, and nephews, Jack, Henry, Leo, and Bram as well as his youngest sister, Erica, brother-in-law, Randy Hogan and beautiful niece, Kate. He left behind a wide network of friends and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
