Funeral service for Clayton, 94, will be Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hopedale Mennonite Church in Meno with burial at New Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Clayton was born July 26, 1922 on the family farm northwest of Meno where he lived his entire life. On July 25, 1952 Clayton married Laura Pjesky. Laura was the love of his life and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage. They were blessed with one son, Byron. The Jantz family worked hard together to build a dairy which has provided a loving home to countless Holstein cows and cats for many years.
Clayton was a member of the New Hopedale Mennonite Church where he had served as usher. While farming, Clayton also drove the Meno Grade School bus for eleven years.
Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph T. and Ida Wedal Jantz; six sisters, Dessie Jantzen, Ella Payne, Minnie Headrick, Ruby Randolph, Emmaline Smith and Bernice Unruh; one brother, Lee Jantz.
He is survived by his wife, Laura and son, Byron both of Meno; the family dog, "Buster" and a host of other family and friends.
Memorials may be made to New Hopedale Mennonite Church through the funeral home.
