Chace Tyler Jewell, age 36, entered his eternal rest on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at his home in Oklahoma City. Chace was born February 25, 1983, in Kiowa, Kansas to Jan and Bobbie (Highfill) Jewell. He was a 2001 graduate of Burlington High School. Chace went on to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater where he became a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and earned his degree in Business Marketing. On October 22, 2011, he married Melissa McCarty. On Christmas Day, 2014, their daughter Emerson Claire was born.
Chace’s career took him across the United States, marketing educational programs for Advanced Academics and Discovery Education. Outside of work and family, Chace was passionate about following Oklahoma State football and baseball, Oklahoma City Thunder basketball, and enjoyed being outdoors duck hunting and playing golf. However; his greatest passion was building relationships with family, friends, and his Lord and Savior. Chace’s favorite verse was John 3:30, “He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.”
Chace was preceded in death by his grandparents, Junior and Betty Jewell, Jack and Lorene Highfil and Papa Virgil Trembly; three uncles, Al, Tom and Toby Highfill and aunt, Vickey Marsh.
Chace is survived by his daughter, Emerson; his parents, Jan and Bobbie Jewell; his older brother, Justin Jewell and wife, Danielle; his three nephews, Kutter, Gatlin and Briggs and many uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends.
Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by him are invited to the Celebration of Life for Chace to be held at Driftwood Christian Church on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Graveside will follow at the Byron-Amorita Cemetery.
