CAROL MARGARET ZINK

Carol Margaret Zink went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 13, 2025, at the age of 85. Carol was born on January 1, 1940, in Centerville, Ohio as the only child of Richard Falen Viles and Margaret (Hennessy) Viles.

Carol is predeceased in death by her mother, Margaret, and her father, Richard. She is survived by her four children, Craig (Julie), Todd, Deborah (Jon), Dennis (Lisa); their father; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Rachel, Tristan, Brittany, Drew, Brooke and Hunter, and six great grandchildren, Charles, William, Adeline, Hayden, Sophia and Micah.

Carol spent her carefree childhood growing up with her cousin, Ronnie Hennessey in the Miami Valley. She attended and graduated from St. Ursuline Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio. After graduation she married Douglas Zink of Miamisburg, Ohio.

Throughout her life, Carol was known as a giving, helpful, and loving mother. Carol dedicated her life to raising her four children, and later when she entered the workforce, became a role model for women working outside the home with positions at Ohio Bell and Miami Township. She was a lifelong learner, even becoming a paramedic later in life. Carol has been featured in newspapers as a role model for women in the workplace as well as for her philanthropic work, making and donating many homemade blankets for the homebound, veterans, and nursing home residents.

As life progressed, Carol spent many summers at Lake Cumberland fishing, socializing, and playing her favorite card game of Euchre and Shanghi Rummy. Winters were spent south at the Gulf of America in Port Aransas, Texas, giving true definition to snowbirds.

Later in life, Carol lived her best life experiencing new adventures in Ohio, Montana and Oklahoma with her children, grandchildren and extended family. She ended her life with a smile on her face full of joy and contentment with her Lord and Savior.

Funeral services for Carol will be held on Saturday July 19, 2025 at Calvary Cemetery Chapel.
