Bob Kramer

September 9, 1931 — June 2, 2017

In the wee hours of June 2, 2017 our loving husband and dad passed away at the age of 85. We were with him all week long, and we were able to say our goodbyes in the most beautiful and personal way. Absolutely nothing was left unsaid. It was all made more tolerable because we know he is now where he has wanted to be for some time - with his Lord and Savior. He is finally free of the frail body that was failing him so. Knowing he is free helps our heart, but the tears still flow. We love you, Dad (Bobby). You are our sweet angel.

Bob hated funerals. So in pure "Bobby" style, we will be honoring him in a celebration of his life - and there is much to celebrate.

He was born September 9, 1931, to Earnest and Frances Kramer in McLean, Texas. He passed from this life June 2, 2017, surrounded by his family in the home where he and his wife, Carolyn were married on August 23, 1953.

After completing high school, Bob graduated college from Panhandle State University, where he lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. He and wife, Carolyn raised son, Kerry and daughters, Robyn and Kim...as well as several amazing dogs and cats. Bob was one of the most compassionate, kind, thoughtful, generous, helpful, and tolerant people to have walked the earth. In his humble and easy-going way - graced with gentle humor - he touched the lives of so many. He was an honorable man who walked his talk. He loved kids and animals and was always the guy you could count on to show up...no matter what.

His coaching career included stops at Tyrone, Forgan, Balko, and Cherokee. In his 33 years at Balko, Coach Kramer won four State Championships, four State Runner-ups in 8-man football. He also won two State Championships in track. In 1987, Coach Kramer was the first 8-man football coach to be inducted into the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn; son, Kerry and wife, Diahann of Ormond Beach, Florida and sons, Sean and wife, Angela of Ormond Beach, Florida and Brett and wife, Jenna of Moore, Oklahoma; daughter, Robyn and husband, Randy of Cherokee, Oklahoma and their daughters, Tasha and husband, Adam of Enid, Oklahoma and Tana and husband, Cody of Enid, Oklahoma; daughter, Kim and husband, Steve of Pryor, Oklahoma and children, Taylor of Thailand; Hannah and husband, Jeff of Kopperl, Texas; and Brennon and BrynnEllen of Pryor, Oklahoma.
