Donna, Texas, formerly Lahoma - Memorial service for Belva will be Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. in Helena.
Belva was born on February 14, 1937 in Helena to Jack Snider and Lela Goodrick Snider and passed from this life on August 30, 2015 at her home in Donna, Texas. On February 3, 1969 Belva married Carl Shoemaker in Enid. She was a retired secretary from Oklahoma State School in Enid. Belva and Carl had lived in Lahoma before moving to Donna, Texas, where they lived for 20 years. Belva sang in the church choir and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Her husband, Carl Shoemaker preceded Belva in death along with her daughter, Janet Stewart; her sister, Peggy Jo Sweatt and her brother, Jerry C. Snider.
Those surviving Belva include her daughter, Pam Rowe and husband, Bill of Plains, Texas; granddaughters, Lyndi and Lesli Rowe of Grand Prairie, Texas; sister, Dorothy Wagner of Austin, Texas; brother, Jackie Snider; numerous nieces; nephews and friends
