Aline-Graveside services for Arlene Lois Fortner Wallace will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Square Cedar Cemetery with Jim and Clayton Wallace officiating. Viewing will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Lois was born September 28, 1929 in Wenatchee, Washington to Wesley and Edna Johnson Fortner. They moved to Leavenworth, Washington where she grew up and graduated high school in 1948. Lois met her husband, Lawrence in the Washington apple orchards picking apples. Lois and Lawrence married November 4, 1950 in Levinworth, Washington. They lived in Los Angeles, California for awhile then made their home in Oklahoma where Lawrence grew up. They moved around awhile then settled on Lawrence’s home place in 1967.

Lois was a homemaker and seamstress who made many quilts for her family. She was a member of the Followers of Christ Church of Ringwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; one son, John; one daughter, Loraine; two grandsons, Jeremy and Kyle; one great-grandson, Thomas; one sister, Charlotte King; three brothers, John, Merlin and George Fortner; two daughters-in-law, Debbie and Tammie Wallace.

She is survived by one sister, Leona Herald and husband, Lee; her children, Stephen Wallace of Aline; Philip Wallace of Aline; Daniel Wallace and wife, Lisa of Aline; Diane McCollum and husband, Jeff of Helena; Cecilia Daugherty and husband, Curt of Enid; Scott Wallace and wife, Tricia of Enid. Also surviving are twenty-nine grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.

Lois was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She will be greatly missed by all.
