Anthony "Tony" Paul Boeckman

Anthony Paul (Tony) Boeckman, 78, of Medford was Baptized in the hope of Christ’s resurrection on January 27, 2024 following a tragic accident.  Tony was born in Okeene on June 14, 1945 to Anthony Conrad Boeckman and Arlene Luetkemeyer Boeckman. He graduated from Okeene High School in 1963 and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from Oklahoma State University.  Tony married Jean Shreve on June 1, 1968.  

Tony worked for the Natural Resources Conservation Service for 34 years before his retirement.  He was an expert at anything pertaining to soil. Most of all, Tony enjoyed and cherished his family. He was very active in his children’s lives. Truly, he was an incredible dad.  

Post retirement, Tony and Jean traveled in their RV for several years. They visited 49 states in their RV, and also traveled to Europe last summer.  Tony led a very active lifestyle. He enjoyed spending time with Jean and their children, gardening, cooking, golfing, reading, attending church, and spending time with his siblings. Tony was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and loved his OSU Cowboys. Tony will be remembered for his kindness.  Always a friendly face, he was always seeking ways to help improve the lives of those around him.  Most of all, he loved to laugh and loved to see others happy.  Tony especially loved his little dog, Tinker. 

Tony will be greatly missed by Jean, his wife of 55 years; son, Drew Boeckman of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughter, Laural Boeckman of Austin, Texas;  sisters-in-law, Ruth Boeckman of Oklahoma City and Diane Boeckman of St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Ann Goodwin of Okeene; brother, Bill Boeckman (Dianne) of Van Buren, AR;  sister, Margie Laubach of Okeene; brother, Robert Boeckman (Sandy) of Okeene; brother, Walter Boeckman (Theresa) of Enid; sister, Theresa Merrifield (Stan) of Enid; brother, John Boeckman (Punky) of Enid; and brother, Paul Boeckman (Melody) of Tulsa, along with numerous nieces; nephews; cousins, and friends.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; brother, Jerry Boeckman, brother, Tom Boeckman, and niece, Roxie Kirk. 

Rosary for Tony will be Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. and Mass will be Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.  at St. Mary Catholic Church in Medford.  Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. of Medford.  www.lanmanfuneralhome.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
