Alice Tharp

Alice Tharp, 87, of Georgetown, Texas passed away peacefully on July 16, 2023, at her residence. Alice was born on September 28, 1935, to Kenneth and Thelma Palmer in San Francisco, California.  In 1953 Alice and John M. Tharp were wed in San Francisco and were married for fifty-two years. Alice and John had four children, Ronald, Rebecca, Cindy, and John. They resided in Nickerson, Kansas.

In 2004 Alice retired from Hutchinson Hospital in Hutchinson, Kansas after twenty-one years of service. After her husband passed, she then moved to Texas in 2005. Alice enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling. She was kind to everyone she met and was loved by so many.

Alice is preceded by her loving husband, John M. Tharp; her parents and siblings.

She is survived by her four children, Ronald Tharp, Rebecca Privette, Cindy (Mark) Scoble, and John K. (Diane) Tharp; ten grandchildren, Brandon (Michel) Vagts, Jennifer (Jeremy) Jameson, Suzanne (Cory) Thornton, Rachael (Cory) Smith, Caitlin (Alek) Timmons, Holly (Austin) Lundgren, Nicole (Taylor) Byrd, Michelle (Matthew) Thome, Erica Vance; ten great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
