Lyman Wolgamott

March 14, 1994 — July 5, 2019

Lyman Riley Wolgamott, 25 of Plains, Kansas died July 5, 2019, as a result massive stroke.  He was born in Woodward, Oklahoma on March 14, 1994 to W. Terry and Tracy J. Wolgamott.  He was the fifth of five children.

Lyman attended Shattuck Head Start, Fargo Preschool, Florence Wilson Elementary (Garden City), Kismet - Plains Elementary, and graduated in May 2013 from Southwestern Heights High School.  While attending High School, Lyman was very active in band, music, show choir, honor choir, honor band, football, track, golf, and basketball, forensic and future Mustangs playing and umpiring.  Lyman went on to Pratt Community College on a vocal scholarship. He became very involved with the PCC Encore, was elected Mr. Valentine and played in PCC Band.  Lyman spent countless hours singing, dancing, and having fun.  Lyman also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and being on the farm. There are many stories to tell.

Lyman was baptized at the Plains Christian Church.  He spent many hours at church camp as a camper and then as a camp counselor.  Lyman was actively participated in the children’s church and working at Summer Vacation Bible School.

Lyman is survived by his parents, Terry and Tracy Wolgamott of Plains, Kansas; his brothers, Brad Wolgamott, Oklahoma City and Jeremy Thomas (wife Carly) of Eudora, Kansas; his two sisters, Rebekah Fielder, Bloomington, Indiana and Jana Erikson, Boulder City, Nevada.  He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Mickey and Teresa Thomas, Fargo, Oklahoma and maternal great grandmother, Geneva Norman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He left four nieces and two nephews, Ana and Ethan Erikson, Boulder City, Nevada, Maisie and Tommy Fielder, Bloomington, Indiana, Shirey and Chazley Thomas, Eudora, Kansas.  Lyman was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, PCC Encore Family, 2013 SWH Classmates and a host of friends.  Lyman also left behind three very special friends, Kambrie Long, Rachel Denoyer of Liberal, Kansas and Caleb Tatro of Meade, Kansas.

Celebration of life service will be Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Southwestern Heights High School in Kismet, Kansas and burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Hardtner Elwood Cemetery in Hardtner, Kansas.   Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa.   www.lanmanmemorials.com  Facebook:  Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
