Lee was born on September 16, 1935 in Jet and passed from this life on March 11, 2018 in Enid.   Lee was raised in the Jet community by her mother, Elsie Marie (Miller) Fischer. Lee worked for the Army Corp of Engineers in maintenance and for Great Salt Plains State Park.  Lee met A.D. DeVore while volunteering in the hospital where A.D. was hospitalized after returning from the Korean War.  A.D. had enlisted and served in the Army before his high school graduation, so he returned to Jet High School to finish, graduating with Lee in May of 1953.  They were married in December of 1953.  After marriage A.D. and Lee lived in New Mexico and south Texas, before moving back to Jet.  She was a member of the Jet United Methodist Church.  She had also attended Vining Church and the Cowboy Church in Byron.  Her faith was very important to Lee, and she enjoyed serving in the church in various capacities.

Those who preceded Lee in death include her husband, A.D.; mother, Elsie Marie Fischer; brothers, Glen, Curtis and Sonny Fischer and sister, Merry Ellen McDowell.

Survivors include her son, Murray DeVore and wife, Jeannette; one grandchild, Joseph DeVore; sisters-in-law, Jennie Fischer and Grace DeVore and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the Cowboy Church in Byron through the funeral home
